Thotlakonda Buddhist Complex is situated on a hill near Bheemunipatnam about 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, India. This complex was active between the year 200 BC and 200 AD. This place was inside the Kalinga region which was instrumental in promoting Buddhism to Sri Lanka, Burma and many other places. Thotlakonda was identified as Hinayana Buddhist complex and AP tourism The complex have number of Stupas, chaityas and viharas. There are many rock cut troughs available here. Out of the 12 tubs used for storing drinking water four are available within the complex and others were little outside the area.

Kailasagiri

Visakha Museum

The Visakha Museum was set up at the Dutch Bungalow which itself has volumes of history to speak about. The Museum has some of the best and finest artistic items put on display. Portraits, some of them even at life-size depicting the members of the Royal family of the Vizianagaram and Bobbili, Two Armour suits, two stands of spears and muzzleloading guns, several ancient weapons such as steel bows, handguns that date back to the British-rule times are some of the things one should not miss.

Submarine Museum

The Submarine Museum is the main submarine tuned to a gallery in the entire of Asia and second in the World. R.K. Beach

Ramakrishna beach otherwise known as RK beach is located in Visakhapatnam city of Andhra Pradesh state, India The beach is very active during early in the morning as many residents jog along the beach shoreline to keep them fit and healthy. The beach has no vehicle zone from 05:00 am until 06:00 am in order to make the joggers and cyclists finish their daily activity. Visakha Utsav is a cultural fest celebrated in a wide range during the month of December every year in RK beach. Camel and horse riding along the long stretch of RK beach gives quirky experience. Fishing Harbor

Chaparai

Chaparai is a well-known picnic spot in Araku valley. This Water Cascade is a unique creation of the nature. An endless fountain flowing through a wide range of rocks surrounded by the forest. Water, flowing throughout the year, has made the stone under the waterfalls very slippery. The cascade also known as Dumbriguda Waterfalls, this water cascade is located 15 Km away from Araku Valley. It is a perfect spot for picnic.

Padmapuram Botanical Gardens

Padmapuram Botanical Gardens are a part of the Eastern Ghats and are situated in the Araku road. The garden was built during the time of the Second World War with the aim of growing vegetables for the soldiers who were fighting in the war. Padmapuram Botanical Gardens now contain a horticultural nursery that includes exotic and rare species of flowers and trees. Another important feature of the Padmapuram Botanical Gardens is a toy train that is enjoyed by both kids and adults alike. The toy train ride gives a 360 degree view of the garden. Galikonda view Point

Galikonda View Point spreads before your eyes a pleasing view. And the place offers a wonderful view of the Eastern Ghats and a great place for some great pictures with the lush green mountains in the background. You can also get bamboo chicken and buy some local grown spices and fresh coffee. And you will have corns which are extremely sweet and delicious. Best time to visit this place is early in the morning, during that time tourists hit will be low and can view and enjoy the valley peacefully.

Coffee Plantation

Araku is popular for its coffee plantations. And must visited the lush green Ananthagiri Coffee Plantations on the hill slopes on the way to Borra Caves in our day trip at Araku Valley and learned a lot about the coffee plantation. The coffee plants are planted on the hill slopes and it gives an awesome look to the area. This coffee plantation site is just beside main road. If you search enough you may find some coffee beans. Local have shops in there for selling coffee and coffee related products. The atmosphere is really beautiful and you can see a beautiful view of the valley.

Borra Caves

Borra caves are located in the annathagiri giri hill range of Eastern Ghats. These caves are the prime attraction of Araku Valley. Located at an elevation of 705 m. in the Ananthagiri Hills, these caves are one of the largest and deepest caves in India. Borra Caves are naturally formed caves, discovered in 1807 by William King George from the Geological Survey of India. Borra caves is one of good place everyone enjoy lot this place you can travel with family friends and children's also and visit this place in winter there is an greenery around the borra caves. The cave possesses a naturally formed Lord Shiva’s shrine-many people to come to see this naturally molded shrine of Lord Shiva. Moreover, it has enticed several devotees nationwide.

Katiki Waterfalls

Katiki Waterfalls come on the way to the famous Borra Caves. It is just 7 kilometres away from Borra Caves. You will hear the roaring sound of water standing at the bottom of the waterfalls. You need to change your vehicle as rugged Jeep is required to cover the narrow muddy road passing through Jungle and by the side of Gosthani River.
